Senator Rodney Pol Jr.
State Senator Rodney Pol Jr. brings a wealth of experience and deep roots to Northwest Indiana. First elected to the State Senate in October 2021 to fulfill an unexpired term, Sen. Pol represents Senate District 4, which includes portions of Porter and LaPorte counties.
Prior to joining the Senate, Pol served as Gary Attorney for 7 years. Before that, he served in a variety of legal and judicial clerkships including for the state Department of Education.
Throughout his legal career, Sen. Pol has worked to fight for working families and educators in Northwest Indiana and beyond and continues that mission in the Indiana Senate.
Sen. Pol graduated from Indiana University McKinney School in Indianapolis and received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
Sen. Pol lives in Chesterton with his wife Alayna Lightfoot Pol who serves on the Duneland School Corp. school board and is a teacher in Michigan City Area schools.
